Environmental Scientist
I am a Master’s student from Malaysia, currently completing a degree in Environmental Science at The University of Western Australia. I am passionate about environmental management, rehabilitation, and contaminated site assessment, with a strong interest in turning science into practical solutions. I enjoy hands-on work in remediation and restoration, as witnessing degraded ecosystems regenerate to their natural state is incredibly rewarding for me. Throughout my course, internships and dissertation, I have built skills in environmental monitoring, GIS, laboratory analysis, report writing, and more. Outside of study and work, you will find me reading, playing badminton, hiking in the great outdoors, or volunteering in community conservation!

I helped maintain data loggers by cleaning and positioning them correctly, as well as assisted in laboratory sessions analysing seagrass meadows. This was carried out at Rocky Bay on a weekly basis to support seagrass monitoring and marine conservation efforts. My volunteering work and a short interview were featured in this video created by DBCA
I have participated in bushland conservation across Western Australia through various Friends of Groups. My involvement has included weeding, watering, and site maintenance to help restore and protect local ecosystems. Working alongside community volunteers in bushland conservation is a great way to give back to the environment!
